The Youth Hostel Cotubanama Backpackers Samana was born out of a “love at first sight” during my first trip to Samaná, Dominican Republic in May 2010.

Cotubanama Backpackers Samana is not only a Youth Hostel, its also a gathering place for people from different countries and cultures with a will to get to know our countless natural wonders like the Waterfalls del Limon, Los Haitises National Park, Playa Rincon, Punta Bonita… and enjoy the friendliness and warmth of its people, the famous “Dominican Way of Life”.

The Province of Samana has right now a tourism potential without equals on the island, and at Cotubanama Backpackers Samaná we strongly believe in a sustainable rural and ecological tourism.
